I’ve had
two prose poems published by
Protestpoems.org
(read

In everything I do, from
writing to teaching to traveling, I try to see the relationships between
things. It’s in that space between what we see, in the currents that
run through that space, where life is most alive.
I’ve been fortunate to have my
writing recognized nationally several times, most recently in my being
named a
2007 Dorothy Norton Clay Fellow at the Mary Anderson Center
for the Arts in Mount St. Francis, Indiana.
As a teacher, I’ve worked with
talented students and colleagues in Eastern Washington University’s
innovative Writers in the Community project; at Washington State
University; at the Academy of Languages in Shymkent, Kazakhstan; at Western Kentucky University;
and currently at Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona .
During the four years I lived and worked in Central
Asia (click here for a
map), I
experienced thousands of years of history in my travels along the Great
Silk Road in China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and
Uzbekistan.
Please follow the links above or
